TERMS & CONDITIONS

By booking in with me you agree that you have read and accepted these and are happy to continue 🥰🐾
Policies and procedures
All complaints must be brought to the attention of me within 48 hours of leaving the parlour.  This is to allow me to rectify the problem, where possible, before the hair grows and without any further issues manifesting or becoming worse (depending on complaint).  Most complaints can be dealt with without escalation and I would appreciate you gave me the chance to do this.
Lateness causes an adverse effect on my daily appointments.  It causes me to fall behind with grooms.  It you are excessively late, it could be that I have to turn you away and you will have to make another appointment. This will then come under my no-show policy where charges will be incurred.
Late pickups will incur a ‘sitting’ cost for me to look after you dog.  This is charged at £10 per 15 minutes starting from 15 minutes after your pick up time.
Cancelling of an appointment needs to be made 24hrs in advance, where possible, to give me the chance to fill the space.  Failure to do so will incur a 50% charge of appointment fee. Second time there will be a charge at 100% of appointment fee plus 50% of next appointment before being rebooked. Third time I will be unable to continue grooming your dog.
No shows will be charged at 50% of their full groom fee when they re-book to make up for my loss of earnings.  As above I have customers on a waiting list that could have turned up and paid full price.  Repeated offence will result in you being banned from my parlour.
Fleas happen!  I am now happy to accept a dog into my parlour with ‘visitors’ but you will be charged an extra £10 for use of flea shampoo which kills fleas on contact.  This is to cover the shampoo, treatment for my parlour and treatment for my house (because fleas do tend to hop on).  Only 5% of the fleas are actually on the dog, so I also suggest you treat your house.
Aggressive dogs will require muzzling in my parlour to prevent injury to me and the dog itself.  I will, where possible, obtain consent during the appointment but this form gives me prior permission in the cases where I do not have time to speak with you first.  Any dog I feel cannot be groomed because of its behaviour will be asked to be collected and appointment paid for.
Underlining health problems/injuries will need to be brought to my attention before the groom is commenced.  This is the responsibility of the owner to inform me and is to prevent further injury, aggression through pain or the health issue worsening.
My first concern is for the welfare of your dog, so in the event of injury or illness a Vet may be sought and, unless it can be clearly shown that we are liable, all costs in the connection and in the carrying out of this instruction shall be at the owners expense.
Coat funk is caused when you clip a double coated breed.  It can also cause dog alopecia.  I will only clip off a double coated breed when advised by a vet for medical reasons or if it has been previously done before and is something that will be done on a regular basis.  The coat can grow through patchy and with a thicker undercoat.  If this applies to your dog and you agree to continue to agree then you agree that you have read the issues associated with clipping and are happy for it to be done by Crescent Canine Spa.  It is therefore no way Crescent Canine Spa's fault if you are not happy with the way the coat grows after. Dematting
Excessive Grooming
If a dog requires more than 3 hours work due to excessive matting or overdue appointment, I reserve the right to stop the grooming and request the dog comes for a return visit, at an additional charge to the owner.  3 hours grooming is enough for any dog in any one-day.
De-Matting
If a dog is overly matted due to missed/failed/cancelled appointments, I reserve the right to clip out any mattes and charge an additional de-matting fee.  All clip-offs and different styles due to this will be checked with, and consent given by, the owner before work is carried out.
• Dematting fee – If your dog is matted, an additional charge of £1 per 10 minutes dematting will be made
OAD's (Old Age Dog's)
Any dog over the age of 10 will only have work done which they will tolerate.  For Example: If an OAD doesn't want his nails clipped, they will not be done (unless absolutely necessary).  This only causes extra undue stress to the dog, at a time in his/her life they do not need.  All work will, however, be attempted.
No pregnant or lactating bitched will be accepted. Grooming can cause undue stress and for the bitch to potentially abort her puppies.

Owner Reviews

In My Customers Own Words

I have a very nervous pooch but he was a star, very relaxed and a great job done! thank you so much! he can't wait to come back xx

Took teddy for a groom and he doesn’t like when it comes to his nails but she was really good and got all of his nails done. I was pleased with the services so was teddy. Thank you so much and will be back again for sure.

Charlotte fitted Trazzel in at short notice, he hadn’t been able to have a full groom for a while due to ill health. Charlotte worked her magic and the transformation was amazing. Highly recommend Crescent Canine Spa.

just wanted to leave a review.Abbey has been now twice for a groom and we have been blown away by the Groom Abbey has received. She has been treated with care and is never stressed when I pick her up.Would definitely recommend Crescent Canine spa for a professional job done.

My dog is anxious about having his paws touched ! Within 10 minutes Charlotte had his feet trimmed and nails clipped! If you have an anxious dog I highly recommend Charlotte! Legend!

Crescent Canine Spa - we recently took our anxious dog for a nail trim...he wouldn't let us anywhere near them and Charlotte was fantastic! I messaged her explaining the situation and she couldn't have been more understanding or reassuring. She is very experienced with anxious/reactive dogs. Our dog responded very well to her and we'll be taking him back there again with full confidence!
